With half a dozen distilleries within striking distance, Bardstown, KY is a perfect WFNB destination. Bardstown has the feel of a small village and there is plenty to do — bourbon bars and great restaurants. Bardstown airport is terrific and has two GPS approaches and a 5,000 ft runway. Best of all, the airport is less than 2 miles from the town. Check out the Talbott Tavern which dates back to 1779. You can see bullet holes in one of the rooms upstairs where Jessie James fired his gun during a card game. The biking around Bardstown can be a little tricky with some busy roads and a few hills.
